• he never knew exactly how to get close to you. i mean, you were so incredibly close yet so far all the same. he was infatuated with your beauty and intelligence in the best way possible. he thought of you as a goddess he could never get close to.
• what was he supposed to do? stand there and let time pass while admiring you from the sidelines? because that’s the exact opposite of what he wanted to do. no, he wanted you to be in his arms while he slept. he wanted to be by you. but he couldn’t. not here at least.
• so he went into your dreams himself. while you slept at night, he gave you dreams of the two of you doing a plethora of calming yet mysterious adventures together. it was the only way he could get close to you without absolutely destroying his soul.
• it wasn’t that you were hard to talk to. in fact, you were probably one of the easiest people he could talk to he’s always felt that way. but no, he had to fall in to deep and now he’s in love with you and doesn’t know how to say it.
• he hopes you’ll get the hint through the dreams, but hope can only do so much to the poor celestial’s heart.
• so one day, he finally goes to someone about his feeling. was it you? no. absolutely not. he thought he would never tell you. he went to Sprout immediately.
• “she’s just… so gorgeous and i’m so glad to have her in my life but… i don’t know what to do about it?”
• “goodness, Astro.” Sprout laughed at the moon’s statement. “sounds like you’re utterly exhausted from the love you feel towards her.”
• “yeah, i am. what do i do about this? i mean, i can’t talk to her here, and if i confessed to her in her dreams… god that’s embarrassing…” Astro admitted, shaken up.
• “she’ll figure it out eventually, but for now, maybe just… maybe you should bake her something and give her a note telling her how you feel. i can help you bake.”
• “you would do that?”
• “of course, man!”
• and so with that, the two boys were off, baking the sweetest, most delicious, mouthwatering meringue cookies known to toon kind.
• Astro also managed to leave a little note in there, as he dropped it off outside your door leaving a slow knock before running behind a wall with Sprout and Shelly, who came just to see your reaction.
• You stumbled out your room, looking around to see whose there, but once you notice there’s something on the floor. picking it up to examine the object, it seems to be a small container with cookies and a note inside.
• You open the container and look at the note, immediately opening it to read the contents inside, which said,
“There is no way to express my words verbally, but it is the truth when i say that i’m utterly committed to you, infatuation is a deadly weapon, and it’s gotten me in it’s grasp. I’m in love with you, and I have been for a while… and this is my destiny.

• “wow.” your face lit up, you knew exactly who this note is from, and you aren’t afraid to confront him. but first first you’re going to eat all these cookies and prepare what to say to him.
• from his hiding spot behind a wall, he, along with Sprout and Shelly, saw your expression or glee and all three of them know, you’re likely extremely happy about this.
• god, was Astro freaking out. he thought he could run away, or pass out on the spot, or something in between maybe? he doesn’t know. what he does know, is that you’re planning something and he needs to be 3 steps ahead.
• Sprout was smirking next to him. “Seems like you’ll have a girlfriend soon, eh?”
• “S-shut up!” Astro said, obviously flustered.
• “This is gonna be amazing!!” Shelly exclaimed, a little to loud for Astro’s liking.

• About an hour later, Astro was in the lobby, sipping on a juice box with the jitters almost causing him to drop it.
• And you saw
• Tapping on his shoulder, you seemed to have jumpscared him. He turned around slowly, obviously trying not to panic inside, but failing miserably. “Oh… Hey…”
• “Astro!” You exclaimed. “Are you the one who left that note?”
• “Uhm…” He had no idea what to say to you. Does he say yes? Does he hug you? Confess? “Maybe…?”
• You managed a giggle from that. “I’ll take that as a yes! You know, what was really sweet. I like you too, loser.”
• “really!?” He choked out “you do? I mean, I’ve been sensing you dreams in hopes you’ll get the hint?
• “I knew something was up with my dreams! So that was you?!” You exclaimed
• He places a hand behind his head, not knowing what to say. “So… now what?”
• “I guess we’re a thing now?”
• Astro took a look at your face, contemplating the words.
• “Yeah. I’d like that…”
