I just felt like fusing some of my characters!
Pippin + Bard = Pardin!
and
Fiesta + Ria = Riesta!
Pardin doesn’t talk much. They’re known for playing music on the corner for money. They’re a bit shy and don’t like crowds.
Riesta is very conflicted about punching things! She roams the desert in search of the next great challenge. If there’s something she wants, she takes it. That’s what adventurers do.

Kendra: Over time, Paolo has converted much of the basement into a streaming studio. It's soundproofed, he has a couple of sets, a more static streaming room, and this recording booth which he set up on a whim and normally uses as extra storage. Today, however, he's commissioned Bard to make him some original music.

Kendra: And so ends chapter one of Beautiful Friends! I had a lot of fun co-writing this, and will continue to do so as long as Raiettei will have me! I don't know what's going to go up between chapters - That's up to her, but please remember to get your questions and comments in, the ask box is open! Anything you'd like to know, we'll answer it if we can without interfering with something we're hoping to talk about more organically~

Jessica: This... has been a long time coming, haha~ When I first wrote Beautiful Friends, I was at a very low point in my life. My mom had just passed away and this was kind of... my way of processing my grief? It was a good outlet at the time. However, shortly thereafter, my dad's status began declining rapidly and I was forced to become his fulltime carer. This, coupled with MY rapidly declining mental health, meant that I just couldn't continue the comic. There were several false starts on the way here, but like. My migration back to Tumblr was just the ticket, really. Did this chapter end the way I originally envisioned? Who can say~ I myself am quite satisfied with the path we're taking, and I hope you'll all stick with me as we press forward into new frontiers~
And I hope you'll cheer on Pippin as well!
