One of the very first things I wrote for this fandom, and this pairing. And honestly I was trying to find a way to get this scene to happen more naturally (Hordak accepted in the Alliance as, at least, some kind of advisor). And then it turned into of Etheria. So. Oops.
The Alliance sat, fidgeting, as Hordak sat in front of them, far more relaxed at their table than they were. He was just setting up a hologram display when a call came in, Entrapta's face bright and happy and taking up the entire screen.
"Hordak! You got there safe, I take it?" He opened his mouth to answer by she merrily continued. "I mean, obviously you did, hiii everyone! Can you send some of those tiny snacks back with him, please?"
Hordak turned his head to stare at Glimmer until she nodded, though she was obviously uncomfortable with his focus. Once he was satisfied with her response, he again watched the princess of Dryl race about the lab. He almost looked pleasant.
Until he saw the tall figure in the background.
"Why is Kadroh in your lab?” The clone seemed to gravitate to the attention, all but running forward so he could grin into the camera.
“I-” Kadroh stood tall and winked, “am a guinea pig!”
“Ah, Kadroh! According to my notes, the term ‘guinea pig’ was generally frowned upon in my last ethics conference. The subject of debate; experimentation of organic compounds. For this purpose, we shall call you a ‘scientific volunteer’!”
A ripple of discomfort passed through the chamber, though the soft smile and downward tilt of Hordak’s ears caught more than one set of eyes. He looked downright smitten.
It seemed more a subconscious movement; he slowly leaned forward in his chair, elbow resting on the table and cheek resting on his propped fist. His eyes were attentive as he took in what she was saying, and it was clear he was listening, not just glazing over. Gone was the ramrod figure in front of them. He looked relaxed, softer.
