Tales From The Drop Box 2018-14 (Episode 115)
Tales From The Drop Box 2018-14 (Episode 115) is awesome new music, eh?

In February 2018 a group of people from a Jeff Rosenstock facebook group put together a compilation of covers of stuff from ASOB, BTMI!, AV and his solo career. ALBUM MINUS JEFF is a mix of experienced bands and folks who had never recorded music before, all brought together by the music which means the world to them. ALL PROCEEDS GO TO RAINN (Rape, Abuse & Incest National Network) which is based in Atlanta (same place as the cool people who came up with this compilation!)
Barely March’s debut Marely Barch is the best Jeff Rosenstock record of 2018 and like Rosenstock there are hints of old school Weezer scattered across this 10 track album. “Nervous As I’ll Ever Be” sounds as if it was ripped from the grooves of the Blue Album and filtered through pop-punk Bandcamp. Marley Barch was recorded on his mom’s laptop, so it’s not quite in the garage, but within the same property lines. Bonus Track: Surf Wax Antarctica (doesn’t get any closer to early Weezer than that song title!)
