I am watching a movie this afternoon. I have seen it before but I just love this movie. It's German and it's called Barfuss, Barefoot in English. It's about a young woman who lives in a mental institution. She ended up there when her mother died, a mother who has kept her daughter away from life and just kept her inside the house all the time. She never learnt anything about being out in the world. She is like a child in many ways. One day she decides to kill herself but she gets rescued by a man who just happens to work at this institution. It's his first and last day at work because he didn't do so well and got fired the same day he started but anyway when he leaves the building this young woman follows him. She doesn't want to be at this mental hospital no more and is dedicated to the man who came to her rescue. He doesn't want her around but she won't leave his side. He tries to take her back to the hospital but it fails and he is stuck with her and a sweet story begins. She knows nothing about being out in the world and he must show her the ropes and they go on a trip and things happen.
