I'm never gonna draw lineart ever again. It's all gonna be sketched lines.
What is Kelp working on? Solving the mystery of where the other half of her table went.

Going back and posting art that I forgot to post. My precious baby girl. The world's worst necromancer. The world's most okayest apothecary. Queen of long-limbs and tripping over her guildmates. This was just an early doodle a few weeks ago to re-familiarize myself with her design and vibes.
After months and months of missing [VS] Art Party, I finally got the chance to sit down and hang with some cool characters doing some doodling (I was there as Petra Seaglass).
I was only able to stay for an hour, but you bet your buttons I tried to draw every Charr I could find! I apologize, I don't know who everyone is on Tumblr, but lmk if you see your character!
Agaue Whiptail was so cute! I love the Conjurer's Mantle so much so that was fun to see!
Ryker Hailsplitter was very fierce! The Icebrood theme was very 👌
Roult Pyreguard had the biggest saddest wettest eyes I've ever seen on a character. I love.
Antigone Ripplestep uses my favorite horns :) I was a little scared of drawing her hair, but we do our best!
Anyways, I had a blast quickly sketching these out and having fun trying to figure out who Jerma is. Hopefully see you guys next month!
I spent most of today DRAWING. There are 1 thousand things wrong with this but I'm not looking at them bc this is the first time I've actually started something with lineart and then finished the thing with lineart in... well. A long time. Here's to never doing that again 🥂
This is my gw2 character, Petra 'Kelp' Seaglass, who I've had the pleasure of RPing around lately. She is a dues paying member of the orphan council, something she did not just make up on the spot.
Doing Art Fight for real for real!! Let's do it!
I did it! Three days ahead of Art Fight, even!! A proper art reference image for Kee, my goloma oracle in Pathfinder.
The oracular curse for bones is described as "Your body is slowly decaying even though you are alive, and using your powers furthers this unnatural living death," which I have run with! However, this means that some amount of gore is present. For this reason, I've taken pains to make a 'normie' version, below, and a 'nasty' version under the cut.
More gory version under the cut (warning):
I'm helping my buddy with some combat balance tests for his homebrew Etrian Odyssey-inspired Pathfinder 2e mega-dungeon campaign which may never actually exist on account of how much time and effort is going into him writing it...
But that didn't stop me from getting over-invested in the lore of the setting. So here are 3 characters, 1 of whom is not getting run, that I spent the past like 2.5 days designing and thinking about. To be clear these characters are never going to matter. Oops!
Anyways, this is Fenway Goldtail, an 'Orc' Protector Fighter: she is a big beefy tank with the ability to impose a penalty on enemies who attack anyone besides her, which is why she's so friggin' many colors.
At lvl 1 she can have an AC of 23 by using the 'Raise a Shield' action followed by the 'Take Cover' action, and she can have a functional HP of 44 between her base health and her shield health.
Next is Myrin Longnight, an Awakened Animal (probably) Dark Hunter Swashbuckler (maybe?). This one is not developed bc he is not getting run in the test campaigns, but Etrian Odyssey's Dark Hunter is a fun concept to play with. Their whole thing is using their whip to 'bind' parts of an enemy which prevent them from taking certain actions.
and finally, the least visually-developed is Jawday, an Awakened Animal Hexer Sorcerer. Hexers are silly little freaks, and I'll just quote my friend's doc about them:
"You spent your early years emulating the punishment of the Zoas: gagged and bound in chains in a dark cellar, unable to move a limb or make a sound. All of your words—all of your heart—were sealed in a silver bell. Now, in the fullness of your power, you can instill in others the fear and restraint that was forced on you in your childhood. As you speak, the bell rings in resonance, and your foes flee before you."
Hilarious! Anyways, it is here to impose the Frightened condition on enemies, which synergizes with other characters in the party, and do elemental damage to exploit vulnerabilities. Fun fact: it can climb walls.
Spent the day poking at this character design, chasing that creative drive wherever it wants to go.
This would, if I decide to take it anywhere, likely end up being a pf2e character who is the child of my previous pf2e campaign's character.
The process of getting here is sort of interesting insofar as it started as an evolution of that original pf2e character's design, but then once I settled on different colors it wound up being a fusion of a couple other half-baked ideas/sketches I had laying around, but still with the dna of that original concept.
Now I have to stop fiddling with it and go to sleep because my poor son is so tired. I've kept him up past his bedtime with my doodling fugue state. 😔
