Are Lapwingstar and Barksight friends like their counterparts? How would Lapwingstar feel about his friend being considered undesirable?

They're friendly, but they're not quite friends. They get along well enough and they trust each other, but they wouldn't be each other's first choice as someone to casually hang out with. They were good friends as kits and for a while into apprenticeship, but they eventually grew apart. Lapwing was dealing with the death of his father, and being an Advisor is a pretty isolating position.

It's not so much that Barksight is undesirable- his position is incredibly important, and he's a kind and friendly cat. It's just that his skills are kind of scary, and cats are worried he'll go insane and start hurting others one day. Lapwingstar is kind of unsure of Barksight's himself, but he doesn't believe that Barksight is a Seer. And he certainly wouldn't stand for anyone deliberately making Barksight feel alone or undesirable- not that Barksight would tell him if anyone was, mind.
