BCR is a cool little record company based in south-east England, which makes orchestral, chamber and vocal music albums. It is run by the multi-talented Robin Bigwood, and always has interesting projects in the pipeline. BCR sells CDs online and ships all over the world. Its catalogue is also downloadable via iTunes, Amazon and most other online stores, and its albums can be streamed from Spotify, Napster and other services.
BCR's other artists include the award-winning UK chamber groups Passacaglia, Fontanella, Feinstein Ensemble, European Union Chamber Orchestra and Bardos Band, and the Italian harpsichordist Anna Paradiso. It released the CD Love Handel, produced for the charity The Children's Trust with Ana-Maria Rincon, Laurence Cummings, Christopher Purves, Lisa Beznosiuk and Steven Devine. Latest releases are by the superb American cellist Jennifer Morsches and renowned flautist Martin Feinstein.
BCR take cares of everything from location recording and production through to artwork, photography, advertising, and worldwide CD and download sales. It is a label set up and run by musicians, and, unlike most record companies, its approach ensures the artist generates an income from every single CD and download sale.
