New addition to the barncat clowder. John gave her to us. Her name is Penny and she's gotten tamer since the photo, tho it's still taking a while to get her to eat catfood (she eats canned salmon wholeheartedly tho so she's not starving).

She may grow up to be a beaut.

When you live on a farm and you hear a kitten distress/lost mewl

Luckily it wasn’t this kitten but it was one of it’s calico siblings (I was able to relocate it back to their temporary nest by pulling off a believable momma cat prrrmrrr). Looks like the siamese gene like the longhair gene seems to be integrated in this barcat colony though not common, which is a bit unique. Since it’s that time of year I’ll throw any pics I manage to capture of the kittens hiding in the woodwork of the barn since I know many of you are suckers for cats like I am. Starting with this lil scared but so done with early life already kitten. If they weren’t so feral and difficult to catch I’d probably try to get most of the kittens to give their eyes a clean up.
