My boyfriend at I met and camp this summer, and we live super far apart. I'm in the US but he's in Australia. The only way we can see each other is at camp, but his parents said he can't go unless he gets a full scholarship because it's really far and expensive. That's very most likely not going to happen, and it's really upsetting for both of us because he's missing out and we don't get to see each other. We really want to keep our relationship going. How can we see each other/stay closer?
Skype's always a nice tool. Stay in contact-- that's the key. If you guys are serious about your relationship, then just persevere. Maybe he could look into every possible scholarship. I'm not sure if it works the same for college, but maybe he could try to apply for several small scholarships and grants, to cover the entire expense? Maybe you could try to save up extra money to help with the expenses. Again, I don't know how it works, but those are possible options.
If the two of you love birds are serious about keeping your relationship going, try to stay in constant contact. Letters are super cute. Text, email, Skype, Facebook, Twitter. Anything.
Good luck!
