Nacht: Alright, our monthly report has started. Does anyone want to begin?
Rook, barely awake: Well, N has gotten sick and thanks to his magic, it began to spread like wildfire. I was the only one not affected.
Langris: David nearly sold our souls to a Devil for a gamble. I have yet to forgive him.
Kuna: Sol got drunk and began to talk shit for the entire night about every man in existance. The only time I wanted to go to sleep early.
Digit: Xerx yelled at Captain Kaiser for getting demoted and almost killed me...
Kirsch: Since my Captain was mostly asleep, I had to go and do most of her work... again.
Randall: I had to stop the Vermillion Family from fighting
Nacht: Noelle set the base on fire since she wanted to cook something, Luck tripped on Vanessa's bottles and set the curtains on fire and Henry got sick and we had to navigate a maze. How about you, Barren?
Barren Crown, the newest Vice Captain of The Silver Eagles:... are you guys okay?
Gauche: Alright. Her parents were responsible for the murder of my parents, they would've sent their son to the streets if he lacked magic during his sickness and are assholes, but she said that they tried to change, so I will give them a chan-
Barren: And then, when I went home, my parents refered to me as their son-
Me explaining the lore of a family that has been mentioned once in Canon:
Okay, remember the family that killed Gauche and Marie's Parents? Well I made a whole ass lore behind them!
Let's start with the most known of the family member and the one that started it all:
Sparrow Crown, the Clover Kingdom's first astrologist, The first Gravity Magic User and The 13th Wizard King.
He was a simple man in life that was always interested in the place that was above him, the stars. Every night, he wanted to know more about to stare them and gaze at them, no matter how tired he might get. When he was 13, he began to study the world, its history, and even the world above it. When he was 18 and a more inspiring scientist, he realizes that the world wasn't the center of the Universe and that the massive ball of light known as the Sun wasn't moving, but rather, he made a theory that they were moving around the Sun. After several months of research and increasing usage of his magic, he managed to realize something incredible. They weren't alone, as there were 6 other planets around them and the Sun and that the world was not flat, but rather a globe.
With his success in science, his incredible proficency in his magic and overall power made him worthy of succeeding and becoming the 13th Wizard King of the Clover Kingdom, boosting the reputation of the Crown Family. During his time as the Wizard King, he fell in love with a woman from a farm and even gotten married to her. Though, both of them have gotten ill a disease that hasn't gotten any known way of curing, not even that of Rose Dominique. So they both passed away soon after. Leaving their only son, Lang Crown, alone.
Now, with all of the known fame that came from being the son of the Wizard King, the newest Wizard King, it took a toll on Lang, making him train every day to even come close to his father, but no matter what, no matter how hard he will try, he could never come close to it. It hurt him to hear from his grandparents at how they kept comparing him to him, every chance that they could get as he felt as though he was a disappointment. He never wanted to be a Magic Knight, or even a Wizard King candidate, all he wanted to do was to study and become a professor, however no one allowed him to become one. Not his grandparents, not his piers, not even himself. The expectations were crushing him no matter how hard he could try. He never resented his father, he remembers every day when he and his mother were alive perfectly, he loved his father. But to become him was... impossible for him to achieve. Then, it came the arranged marriage with another Noble family known as Francois with a woman named Muses and the marriage was only there to help boost the power of their off springs, a common practice during his era, and even then. He couldn't do anything. He couldn't object. He couldn't say otherwise.
He was only a man behind his father's shadow. The marriage went off and the lineage of both Francois and Crown continued, but the spirit of Lang didn't grow. It fell. More pressure was created, more expectations were made. More something to fulfill, more of the spirit dropped and it all came crashing down on a mission where it all dwindled on the success of him stopping the magical beast from destroying the entire town. Even though they might've succeeded, he never returned. He was murdered. All of the preassure got to him.
And that was only the start of the lineage of the Crown family and its slow corruption. The Francois, those who perfected their Memory and Mind Magic continued as their own part of the family, but the Crown part. They had nothing, but pure power in their mind and they will make sure that they. Get. It. No. Matter. The. Cost.
It started out simple.
Trying to raise their ranks as the family of a Wizard King from good acts of kindness to even fulfilling their roles as Magic Knight, but it slowly showed that no matter what they do, it won't last unless they start with drastic meassures.
It started normally.
From petty crimes like theft from small villages, money laundering, fraud, anything that could get them power.
The closest they have gotten to being on the leagues of the Royal Families was if they married into the family of Kira after Vermillion and Silva family rejected them, but it fell through as even they wouldn't marry a family as corrupt as them.
And then, they performed their heinous crime.
They killed the family that was the closest to them, Droite and Isaac Adlai, and only leaving the kids alive.
All for power.
Barren Crown was the oldest daughter of whom was comfortable in her own skin of Adam and Margarette Crown and was a friend of Gauche, one of the only people that Gauche was close to that wasn't his own sister, but after the incident, Barren tried her hardest to reconcile with Gauche as she never wanted this to happen, but he couldn't care less about it. He never could after what they have done. When they left, Gauche never wanted to see her or her family again. With that.... she wallowed in pain after that and never recovered.
For years, she tried her hardest to not allow her emotions to get the better of her and the expectations of her parents continued to pain her, just like one of her ancestors. That wasn't even the hardest part about it. There were times where she wondered if she was in her correct body in the past. If she... was even comfortable then as she was now, in her own body no less.
But she wanted to move on. Try to forget that day.
But then, her youngest brother, Adrian, was sick. Of the same sickness that killed them. And the best case scenario is that his magic was gone.
She was... livid when she heard them to suggest them throwing away their youngest son like that. Alluding to when they lost their son years ago, which made her sick to her own stomach at what they implied.
She didn't feel safe, but she didn't want to leave her own brother.
So, she decided to go against her own family to earn as much money as she could previously, more than enough that could cure her brother.
One day, when she was stealing huge ammounts of money from an entire alley of stands for money, that's when she stumbled on Gauche.
