Barreracudas - "Promises"

I left my hometown of Atlanta for San Juan, PR, about two-and-a-half years ago. I run a club here so I don't get to go back as often as I'd like, but I was there last September and was able to catch a Barreracudas show. They've been one of my favorite ATL rock 'n' roll acts for a long time now, and I'd missed their wild live sets so much. The band's pretty perfect in my book: Punchy power-pop hooks, frontman Adrian Barrera's bubblegum whine and an overall glam-rock sheen. And his lyrics are super clever — he's one of those masterfully witty types. This is a cut they've been playing live for a while, and it's out on 7-inch now via Oops Baby Records.
