Today is Barri 🪴
The celebration of Yngvi-Freyr and Gerðr’s consummation of their love
Barri the grove is named,
which we both know,
the grove of tranquil paths.
Nine nights hence,
there to Njörd’s son
Gerðr will grant delight.

A symbolic union for our Vanir god of fertility and Jötunn Gerðr, who often symbolises the earth. A planting of seeds! Which means it’s great time for you to plant something inside in time for warmer weather, or hel plant something outside - some garlics are great this time of year! 🧄
This year I’ve planted a Coleus (chocolate covered cherry). I also planted one last year and it was doing splendidly, buuutttt the foxes trampled it - thanks Loki!
Blessed Barri 🖤
