He couldn’t believe he was back here, the island was the same and there were people he remembered somewhat fro his time here. One in particular popped out of her bar and walked over to the nearest person to chat. He couldn’t help but smile until she looked his way.

A Long Time Coming

It had been a long, long time since he had set foot in this small village. And damn, did it feel good. So much happened here years before. His hand went to his shoulder where his missing arm had been. Years ago, when he had arrived in this village, he had both his arm and his hat. 

Now a young pirate was rising in the ranks, on top of his head that same hat. He had taken a bet on the new world, and it was still paying off. It seemed, as he landed on the island with his crew, the villagers were just excited to see them as they were to be back. They had earned respect last time they were here, and the village had taken a liking to them. 

But there was one woman who he had taken a liking to himself. And he had missed her every day he was at sea. He hadn’t realized how hard he had fallen until it sunk in that he wouldn’t be back for a long time, but now he was a yonko- and his powerful crew was able to sail literally wherever they pleased. 

Including frequent trips to a small village. He headed straight for the bar, some villagers confirming that yes- she was still there. As he entered the familiar building, he quietly moved to where he had usually sat, letting his head rest on his hand as he grinned, “Miss, I’m a bit thirsty. Do you have any drink recommendations?”
