Desire & Decorum 3 - Chapter 15 (Annabelle x MC)
Can you imagine that wedding scene? Like actually picture it in your head. MC and Mr Chambers facing each other on the altar but at the pew, Miss Parsons is facing MC and Mr Konevi is facing Mr Chambers. All the words being spoken are directed at their respective partners. They hold their partners' gazes but it just looks like MC and Mr Chambers are staring at each other and none would be the wiser. All their actions, a hand squeeze, slipping the ring onto the finger, doing all that while staring at their partners and imagining them instead. Something about this whole set up is just so... Intimate. So romantic. It's like a private show of love directed to only their partners. It's as if they don't have to prove anything to the rest of the witnesses at the chapel. They are only showing their partners how much they love them. While MC and Mr Chambers might be doing all of these things publicly, who these things are actually meant for is only for them and their partners to know. They are only proving it to them. I dunno if I'm making sense anymore, but the whole set up of the wedding scene (annabelle x mc) is so intimate and romantic. Truly a gays only event in that chapel. I love them.
