The end of an era: Barton’s Motel in Laconia, New Hampshire
The Laconia Planning Board is in the process of approving the demolition of this 4 acre, 50+ year old motel. Developers plan to replace it with four four-story buildings, each with eight condominium units overlooking Paugus Bay. Due the motel’s age and historical value, demolition also needs to be ok’d by the City’s Heritage Commission.
