Vintage Carpano Vermouth Poster, Re Dal 1786 In 1953, as Italy celebrated the stabilisation of the Republic and the accelerating prosperity of the post-war years, Armando Testa created this landmark poster for Carpano — a design that placed the brand's extraordinary royal heritage front and centre. The legend Re Dal 1786 — "By Royal Appointment since 1786" — had by this point adorned Carpano's bottles and marketing for generations, but Testa gave it a graphic treatment of an entirely new kind: bold, modern, and charged with the confidence of a brand that knew exactly what it was.
