BLOG NOTICE

Hey yall, I think I should let you know of what’s going to happen in my blog during this week. You might’ve noticed that I keep making more and more polls, and well, that is going to continue!

I’ll be slowly posting gameplay, and by slowly i mean I will not post every day but I will post many in one day, and I will be making many polls to help me make a custom save file that you all will enjoy.

Yall,,,, I might restart my save file.

I’m not going to delete the one I have now, I am too attached to the sims I already have. But I am going to start a new one with a lot more planning and preperations. I might try to use some of the same sims I already have, but that is not a guarantee

Alright I think i need to start a version3 of my custom save file,,, and I need to plan this out a lot more

I also kinda plan on TRYING to use more debug objects and the TOOL mod to decorate the world, so wish me luck with that!

Making the previous poll reminded me that past sims games (The Sims Medieval in particular) had cannon religions for the sims world. And a wonderful simmer and modder has made a religions mod (Rambunctious Religions) that is meant to be Sim World Religions, including Worship of the Watcher, Treaders of the Occult, Cult of Cowplants, and Congregation of Non Believer.

Writing this now I am actually kinda losing my train of thought, but what I intended to ask here is if I should have real world religions in my Custom Save File or if I should have these Sim World religions, or no religions at all.

I am someone who is an atheist but has been raised on light christian beliefs. I do not believe there is one true god, and if anything I am closer to worshiping the old Greek Pantheon than anything else. And as a result of that, I don't really play with religion in my game at all. And surely I'm not the only one (or at least I hope I'm not the outcast in this scenario...)

I understand how important religion is, I do. I have nothing against other religions as long as the people who follow those religions respect me as a person, but once again I would like to ask:

What version of my CUSTOM save file would you preffer?

Real world religions with holidays and places of worship.

Representation of people from real world religions, but no need for holidays +

Sim world religions (The Watcher, mostly)

No religions (but still different cultural representation in the form of sims)

(very risky option but i just wanna know) Make your own Pantheon

I just want to see the results

This poll angers me/offends me. This shouldn't even be a question.

I do not know how to answer this, but I think it's a good and valid question.

I have made a Google Docs document where I am compiling the information and ideas I gather to be able to represent different cultures in game as best as possible. I am working on one culture at a time, gathering as much information and refferences of one culture before moving onto the next so I don’t accidentally mix things or get confused, and my intentions with this is to make little communities in different worlds, much like how in real life there are places like Chinatown, Little Itally, Little India, etc., that are cultural neighbourhoods filled with life and community. I want to try and portray a version of that in the custom save file I am working on, and I would love any feedback you can give me, like things I might be missing, things I might’ve been misinformed on, etc.

I hope that I can manage to configure the share link correctly so that it lets you leave comments on the google docs itself, but if I mess that up please feel free to comment on this post and I will take note of it myself!

While thinking of making Portuguese builds for my custom save file I ended up making a google docs document with some images based on location size. Have fun with that

I heavilly suggest you view it at 50/60% zoom. I kinda messed up and made everything too big for 100% zoom

I am so fucking grateful for past me for making so many builds. I was able to place like, 10-15 lots I had done a few years ago that are pretty okay!

Next I will look for sims I can give no cc makeover to, but we’ll see what happens
