actually u guys what if i just started living life as if every day was my first. like what if i just let my untapped whimsy spill over onto everything . what if today isn't my last day but the first and every day after this will be too. every breath and every smell and every sound and every smile could be a celebration. what if i decided to remember that this is everyone's first time alive on this planet and we r lucky to experience it together . what if actively seeking joy has been its own form of rebellion this whole time

just learned from my brother that one set of our neighbors- a married couple with a 5 year old and a baby- admitted to him that they always listen to me practice, because their oldest makes them stop whatever they're doing so she can hear because she thinks i am beautiful????? wtf.......

at a cafe before final discussion hour for my summer course. sat beside a guy reading a book who, 20 minutes in, i notice is using an old ass blackberry phone that is literally held together by duct tape. so i ask if that's his Phone-phone (it is) and we end up having some things in common so we chat about conservationism, liguistics, the arts, and jeff vandermeer. and we exchanged numbers. when he left we hugged and he reiterated that he would really love to meet up again :)
