This Thursday (10/13) starting at 6:30pm, @theartbase is hosting sort of a dream/vision of mine and I am super excited! both @jinkshq & @tuesday.adventure from #sundaymorningmodular are collaborating on a soundscape as the backdrop for the original 1954 Godzilla film! 😱🤩 • • • over the past year+ I’ve been going to their live modular synth mornings @craft_coffeehouse_ with my sketchbook for brainstorming sessions for this art show with @andrewrobertsgray “Planet Eater”, so really, their synth waves have been getting into my subconscious and affecting the art I produced in a big, kaiju kind of way. • • • Look for a link in my bio to RSVP! This is a free event with a suggested $10 donation to The Art Base. We’ll have chairs available and a space to sit on the floor as well. The film is in Japanese with subtitles and runs about 90 mins. If you haven’t seen it, this is the birth of Godzilla! The first appearance ever! • • • Huge thanks to Mathew Jinks and Sam Chittenden for jumping on board!
