He's lil an old! His 15th B-day was around now, we caught him outside our apartment, so we never knew his exact DOB, but any days a good day to celebrate with a senior kitty tbh.

gilbert hiding the fact that hes dying is a rly good piece of angst but i think he should like accept it and then be open about it as the years go on and he somehow still survives. hes waiting for the day he vanishes and honestly hes getting kind of impatient by this point

he starts making really annoying demands for his funeral and his will, which includes forwarding roderich a euology he's pre-written that amounts to several thousand words of "i am a lame sissy and prussia was the coolest guy ever". he starts coughing one day at a world meeting and says "guys i think this is the big one" and basch tells him to either a.) die already or b.) shut up.

he antonio and francis have thrown four separate "gilbert is dying!!!" parties over the years and francis gets tired and tells gilbert point blank the next time he starts feeling bad hes not putting up the decorations until gilbert is six feet under. ludwig is sick of all this but it IS helping him cope
