The Congressional Baseball Game is an annual contest played between Republicans and Democrats to raise money for charity. Gerald Ford wore these cleats when he batted and fielded for the Republicans in several games during his time in Congress. He even hit the first known Congressional Baseball grand slam in the second inning of the 1957 game!
