Last leg of the trip - Chicago White Sox. Thoughts of Guaranteed Rate Stadium: A LOT BETTER than I had anticipated. I had heard horror stories of this park and enjoyed myself. Lucked out with great weather and the Orioles were in town getting the win always helps. There wasn’t a lot of character or uniqueness to the stadium to me. I did however enjoy how much respect they paid to their past players.

A summer trip to “The Joe” is definitely worthwhile, especially if you are within short distance of New York’s Capital Region.

Joseph L. Bruno Stadium sits on the campus of Hudson Valley Community College. It’s not what you would think about when you think of a community college stadium or one where a short-season Single-A team plays, that’s for sure.

A Safeco Field Sendoff and the Inevitable End of Year Six

Whether it was the time of day, the angle of the sun, the breeze off the bay, our sheer exhaustion or the city itself, this was a beautiful walk. Seattle surprised us all.

After lunch everyone met back up near the tree that stands at the end of Pike Place Market, at Virginia and Pike.  From there we moved in a more or less northwesterish direction to Lenora Street and took that to 5th Avenue.

Following the Golden Pig | Visiting the Pike Place Market

The tail end of Seattle may be a little hazy thanks to the Pyramid Alehouse and a few subsequent beers at the Mariners game, but the day we spent in the city prior to that was a great finish to the trip.
