Category Announcement: Songfics!
Welcome to Part 1 of the Based-On Bonanza!
On my list of potential future list themes (which you can submit suggestions to), I've had several ideas (and requests) for fics based on other media. Books, movies, TV shows, songs, games... the list goes on. But I've always struggled to pick just one -- so I'm not going to. The next few lists will ALL be fics based on some category of works or another.
Because my birthday is next week, we're starting with songfics, because they're one of my favourites. I've written... probably at least eight? Maybe more? I just love the stories woven into songs, and I love pulling those stories out and expanding them into a bigger world, deeper characters, more details. Sometimes it's just a line that speaks to you, sometimes a music video makes you want to dive into that world, sometimes the whole story is just too beautiful to not tell again and again and again.
