Just remembered this old basement pet fantasy

Your owner's done a lot to help you bring out your inner puppy. When you kept trying to run she made you watch as she cut off your legs below the knee. And when you still tried to use your dumb paws to fumble with door knobs and binds she took those as well, right below the elbow. You'd always assumed those remnants of your personhood had gone in the trash, not the freezer. But caring for you while you healed wasn't cheap, and why waste perfectly good dog food?
