CharDee Week-Day 2: Favorite Team-Up
“Rulers of Techpocalypse”
“It’s like when I’m doing good in the game I’m doing good in life”
“Oh, I wanna make fun of you for saying that but I kinda know what you mean”
Witness Charlie take charge as he rises to virtual power and protects his kept Queen. Of course, he starts to treat her like one of his subjects, too, but Dee’s all too happy to obey if it means she gets to continue to thrive. I was gonna gif this but Charlie’s scream is just too good to not be heard lol
CharDee Week-Day 1: First Moment You Shipped Them
“A Dee Song”
“And you said you LOVED me! Ewwwww!”
“YOU BITCH!!”
So while everyone was freaking out over Dennis’ big feelings and Mac’s heart eyes, I was completely swept up in the realization that Charlie and Dee had a real thing going on for some time, too! It hit me like a ton of bricks and The Prophecy opened my eyes. I’ve been shipping trash ever since lol
CharDee Week-Day 4: Favorite Moment
Making the Man
“No, Charlie, you said there were only 2 phases!”
“This one’s easy”
Going back over the many CharDee moments I missed this one is definitely one of my favorites. Dee does her best to free herself from doing any more “Charlie Work” by cleaning up his look for a date with the Waitress, but I think even she was amazed at just how good he could look in a blazer. And Charlie seems to trust that Dee knows how to make him date presentable. It’s all early stage CharDee but the small things matter.
CharDee Week-Day 3: Favorite Headcannon
“See You in the Sewer”
“Charlie, my clothes are dry!!”
“You held them over your head?”
I am terrible with headcannons but I do have one that is stuck in my head. Ok, so when the Gang was making the dash for Thundergun Express movie, Charlie spent a minute or two explaining how to get around the Philadelphia sewer system to Dee. He did abandon her to see Thundergun hang dong, but she took his advice and saved her clothes. And since she spends more time without a car because of her friends, she decided maybe getting around the city through the sewers wasn’t such a bad idea. Unfortunately, she is not as sewer savvy as Charlie and eventually finds herself lost. But like some weird sign of providence she heads toward a light source and finds Charlie sitting on a opening for a run-off smoking a cigarette.
She is beyond relieved and Charlie is shocked to see her. To his surprise he’s a little embarrassed. It’s one thing for Dee and the guys to know Charlie moves around the city’s sludge but it’s a complete other thing for one of them to see him; for Dee to see him. She starts a frantic rant about getting confused trying to escape the “water wall” and not knowing where she is and Charlie grabs her by her upper arms (that always seems to calm her down…or at least shut her up). He walks her to her destination, pointing out shortcuts to the bar and the river and showing her his favorite spots for dredging up coins and trapping crabs.
Much to both their surprise she finds her way back to the opening a few weeks later, this time wanting a cigarette to smoke herself. Now that she knows how to get around better she uses the sewer ways when she’s in a hurry or without transportation. She and Charlie meet to smoke at least once a week. After the kiss fiasco a couple of years later, the smoke meet pretty much shut down but eventually they found the stress of being who they are and dealing with what they deal with, sharing a cigarette was just as required to help avoid their cursed lives as the alcohol they consumed non-stop. Dee talks about her dreams of being a celebrity and Charlie thinks she’s delusional but listens anyway. He’s just happy that Dee can enjoy this little part of his bizarre life without judging it.
CharDee Week-Day 5: Favorite Shippy Song
“Anyone Else But You”
“Everybody else has a big song, I deserve to have one!”
“Aaahh, do you?”
It’s gotta be the most awkward, honest, sweetest and most terribly sung declaration I’ve ever heard which means it’s perfect for Charlie and Dee to sing to one another. It’s a back and forth about the stupid little things that they find so endearing; things no one else would appreciate or have in common between them. Listen here if you wanna. My favorite line?
We both have shiny, happy fits of rage//You want more fans; I want more stage I don’t see what anyone can see in anyone else …but you
s3 ep13: Charlie bonds with and frees a race horse he named Peter Nincompoop
s6 ep11: Dee bonds with and frees a wild rabbit she named Peter Nickle-eater
me, Chardee loving trash: they're perfect for each other 😢😢😢
Is there a CharDee episode masterpost floating around??? I wanna make one myself but I can just as easily reblog one
