Config Solr 4.5 for basic running

What is Solr ?

+ It a best Full-text Search (most like Google) + It FREE for all of us + Very light & power-full

How's the basic requirement for running ?

How's the basic Install ?

+ Download Solr source code + Extract it to "/Solr" folder (after that, in server, the directory link will be like that: "/Solr/"). Of-course, you can put it anywhere at your server, but you must remember it ! + Your data will be at: "/Solr/example/solr/your_instance_folder" + Config all in: "/Solr/example/solr/your_instance_folder/conf"

How to basic configuration ?

+ core.properties: change instance name + solr.xml: change solr port, default is 8983 + solrconfig.xml: add lib to import data from SQL (MySQL, MSSQL) ... - <lib dir="../../../dist/" regex="solr-dataimporthandler-\d.*\.jar" /> ... - <lib dir="../../lib/" regex="mysql-connector-java-\d.*\.jar" / ... - <requestHandler name="/dataimport” class="org.apache.solr.handler.dataimport.DataImportHandler">     <lst name="defaults">         <str name="config">data-config.xml</str>     </lst> </requestHandler> + data-config.xml: change import query & config (define) fields + schema.xml: config fields (relate with fields defined at data-config.xml)

How to start ?

+ Go to "/Solr/example" folder + Run: java -jar start.jar <= Normal running, it will stop when close Terminal + Run: java -jar start.jar & <= Running like a service
