this is just info on basicscan ((a browser hijack))
hit your start button
go to your control panel
one of your options should be programs
click uninstall programs
look for basicscan ((it will be near the top; it goes alphabetically))
right click it and click uninstall/change
you will be asked to go through some steps GO THROUGH THEM
once you have successfully uninstalled the program, go back to your internet ((google chrome, firefox, etc)) and type in ANYTHING and you should be directed to your normal browser
YOU DO NOT NEED TO GO THROUGH THE STEPS PROVIDED BY OTHER SITES UNLESS YOU CAN'T REMOVE THE PROGRAM NORMALLY
