A problem in the Christian home to Bill Gothard is:

“We do not honor our mother”

Family members can leave the house during the day, but the wife and mother must look at the clutter all day long.

You do know that women have agency, yes, Bill? We can actually leave the house too!

Make sure that your secretary is committed to the success of your marriage.

Your secretary must help you make your wife and home your priority. She can do this by shielding you from unnecessary interruptions, helping you keep appointments with your wife, and guarding you from temptations of moral impurity.

Bill Gothard thinks men are really, really stupid.

Not only does Bill Gothard understand a Woman’s Mind™, he understands GOD’s understanding of a Woman’s Mind™.

God created women, so He understands how they think. As a result, He gives an allowance for a woman when she makes a vow. He realizes that it may be only an expression of her mind, will, or emotions, so He makes a provision for her to be released from her vows by her father or by her husband in the day he hears of it. (See Numbers 30.)

This same provision is not allowed for a man. When he says something, it is final, and God will hold him to it. Thus, God warns, "When thou vowest a vow unto God, defer not to pay it" (Ecclesiastes 5:4).

Is this a “woman’s mind,” Bill, or a legal understanding of a contract?
