@wutbju
More babushkas and Coca-Cola.
I'll give Greg credit for quoting actual CCM artists (rather than BJU employees) here. But their conclusion is just a matter of opinion, not the great evil.
So you disagree, Greg? So what?
Bob Jr. is working so hard on his swagger.

This is the biggie -- the picture that's so large, I have to store it at Imgur because Tumblr gets the heebie-jeebies at the size.
This graph traces the enrollment for each class through its four years.
I have a version that shows all the classes since WutBJU has been keeping track, if you'd like to see it. But the one linked above is just tracing the enrollment for students who have accredited BJU degrees.
The Class of 2026 was bigger than expected overall. Did you notice that? See the orange line there?
But 2028 and 2027? It's not good, friends.
If you go to a gastro pub in 2025, you might see a "mocktails" menu. They'll say something about how it tastes like this or that, but it contains no alcohol.
Which is great! It feels like a treat, and it's exotic and interesting.
And it's not evil. If it tastes like a cocktail but it has no alcohol, it's cool. And you can have the best burger in town while you enjoy your mocktail.
This CCM comparison is the same. It's only if rock-n-roll is evil that this makes sense.
Just like it's only when ginger ale is evil that condemning mocktails makes sense.
Similar to the raw numbers from another post, here's how the percentages among the classes play out. 2020 was a bizarre year, it seems. The sophomore otherwise are pretty even. It's the Seniors that go up and down.
I feel like I should be able to find him in the yearbook.
The school is just a short drive outside of Los Angeles.
BJU is only the fifth "most conservative" institution of higher ed in the US. Surprised?

You are citing a sermon from Tony Miller in 1999? SERIOUSLY?? That's your expert, Greg?
In this graph, the closer the number is to the zero, the more even is BJU's enrollment for that class.
In other words, the blue line shows the current year's Sophomores and how many of them were pictured as First-years in 2025. Red does the same for Juniors (last year's Sophomores), and green for Seniors (last year's Juniors).
There are nearly always more Seniors than Juniors because the Junior class is always the smallest. So the green line is almost always above sea level. This comparison shows that since Pettit's last year, things have been fairly consistent.
Can BJU break that pattern?
Clearly they told one person to leave the table so the camera would have a clear view. Do you think that's where the host sat? Remember how strict they were with the host and the hostess sitting in particular seats?
The closer the line is to zero, the more stable is BJU's enrollment (as is demonstrated in the Vintage). The 2026 uptick is better than the previous two years, but still. . . .
BJU needs to get above the water.
Who are you going to consult when you're discussing the history of Rock-n-roll? Fundamentalists or musicologists?
Still bored in chapel.
Except this guy down here in the lower left.
Note that all the quotations that Kielmeyer cites here are from Tim Fisher's book, Harmony at Home. The David Noebel that he's quoting is another kind of anti-Communist fear-monger and nothing more.
It's like Phillip Morris is citing a study on cigarette safety from R. J. Reynolds.
If you're curious about how the totals for each class plays out over the years (more than just Freshers and Seniors), here's your chart.
