i’m overdrawn (again) and i’m hungry 

the ratio of money i spent on art supplies versus food this month is about 20:1 but i have my exams in a few days so i couldn’t really put it off 

my english professor (lol) a few weeks ago was like “at some point if you’re serious about being an artist you have to take the plunge and buy really good materials” and i wanted to scream at him bc i ate 20cent ramen for lunch again that day and my stomach needed fruits and vegetables but i couldn’t afford that 

and when i have mandatory class from 8AM to 6PM monday-friday and I fail if I miss those classes and I have to work pretty much all day Saturday and Sunday to make my deadlines, I can’t “just get a job” 

and I know I know people have it way worse off than me and I’m so lucky to be in the place I am

But i’m overworking myself because if i don’t pass my year, and my next year, and don’t recieve my diploma, I won’t be able to stay in this country with my partner. I won’t be able to work in literally the only profession that i’m good at and brings me contentement. But I am STRUGGLING with my nothing a month i can’t even afford the right conditioner for my hair I can’t even afford to shower more than twice a week I ration my pasta so I can buy paint and wool and wood and let me tell you it is NOT romantic and it is NOT enviable it is really painful
