idk what i expected to learn from this except that its kinda neat but i put the location of each statement on a map sorted by their associated entity. Here, if anyone wants to look at it

Its worth clicking into the actual map since theres a lot of stacked up statements occuring in the same place, or with vague enough locations that they are ‘the same place’ by nature of, ie, all being in manchester, or all being in Somewhere In England.

Anything with multiple locations per statement either has a mark in each location, or on the main location if the other(s) were too vague or barely present.

The statements that take place on the Daedalus i placed in Ny-Alesund since thats the only specific location tied to any of the ‘companies’ that established it. The statements that take place on ships are placed either on a specific port mentioned, or just kinda in the middle of the ocean between their starting location and destination (if possible, otherwise just the ocean.)

If a statement has multiple entities associated i went with the one thats most prevalent, except for the few that are basically ALL entities, which ended up in a blank category at the end.

Tomorrow: I’ve got a bunch of shit to do for my other jobs, but that night, Jackbox games night! We enjoyed this so much that I threw it again! Come have some social interaction, starting about 6:30.

did harry have any remarkable acquaintances/friends before attending hogwarts?

one little girl ( a transfer ) with dirty blonde hair wandered over to where harry was ( hiding from the harry hunt, probably ) and offered to play. she went home, talked to her parents about the nice boy with the funny hair. her first friend at a new school, her parents were thrilled. 

on privet drive a conversation on the same interaction took place, cast in an entirely different light. dudley took to reporting back about harry’s behaviors ( at times pointing at fresh bruises to state that was after a rather good chase ), quick to pick up on the attention given to the other when it came to matters out of their control. they wanted to know if he did anything odd, and his making any friend was definitely out of the ordinary. ( it infuriates them, of course. harry isn’t supposed to talk to other children at school, it reflects poorly on the dursleys ). 

the girl didn’t mind the other kids rallying behind dudley’s teasing. and her parents did their part - trying to pin down a cagey petunia at school pick-ups, and finally getting her on the phone after a few weeks of losing connection. there’s an attempt to set-up a playdate, it’s rebuffed. 

he’s troubled, petunia says. only safe around other children in moderation. seeing someone, the very best in child psychology - vernon chimes from the other room. they recount the issues of his parents, how difficult it is to remind dudley how loved he is while the other takes up so much of their energy and attention. maybe when things get sorted with him, but the way she slams the phone down tells harry she didn’t mean that one bit. 

the girl stops finding him after that. harry understands.

I just needed to get my thoughts out and this was the closest thing to me

Depression took so much from me

It took my entire sense of identity

My mind was full of words for love,

Hurt, comfort, the unknown

And now it’s just an empty crevice in the universe

It took so much for me

To feel all in the extremes or nothing

What seems better

The choice at first seems simple but paints a road for me
