headcannon that Stan is actually naturally smart and stuff but he gave up on applying himself to studies because no matter how well he did ford did better and he decided that if it wasn’t good enough why should he try to be good enough
Some fan art for @babyblankyerror ‘s hitman!stan au!
I wanted to try out a new style so decided that some fanart would be the perfect opportunity
Yeah never doing this style again it took 11 hours lmao
I also have a comic for a scene I’m working on, but had forgotten the sketchbook last week so haven’t made much progress lol
Finally am able to work on it now though!
Fun fact I hate chat bubbles with a burning passion. I just dislike making them so much lmao
Universe Falls Chapter 23: Into the Bunker
Story Summary: What would happen if the Crystal Gems had settled down in a place other than Beach City, a little backwoods town just west of weird…? What if, upon coming to Gravity Falls for the summer, Dipper and Mabel were to befriend Steven and Connie? What kind of magical, mysterious adventures would they have? And, how would they fare against the combined threats of merciless Homeworld Gems and a certain triangular demon?
Find out what happens when Magic and Mystery meet in Universe Falls...
Chapter Summary: A journey to the author's hidden underground bunker reveals some unsettlng secrets, while forcing Amethyst to confront her insecurities. “Sniffling Croissant!” Steven grinned at the results of the Crying Breakfast Friends personality quiz he’d just finished. “You really know me, internet.” He looked up from his phone, to where Pearl and Stan were hard at work helping Greg fix his van. “Hey, guys!” Greg glanced back, wiping the sweat from his brow–while unknowingly smearing oil across his forehead in the process. “Yeah, Steven?” “You should all take this online quiz I found,” Steven held up his phone so they could see. “It tells you what character you are from Crying Breakfast Friends !” “Crying Breakfast-” Stan cut himself off, completely confused. “Kid, what the heck are you talking about?” “Oh, it’s a great cartoon with a huge cast of really interesting, relatable characters!” Steven explained, smiling. “And every single one of them is a result you can get in this quiz! Like I said, you should totally take it!” “Uh… why?” Pearl asked. Click the link to read more; all comments are appreciated!
hmm stan...
The Gravity Falls resurgence inspired me to redraw something from quarantine. I'll forever lament that I didn't get into this show when I was 12 😔😔 I think it would've rewired my brain
(old vers and comparison under the cut!)
Would JF ever like just collect things on his travels he thinks Stan would like? Like he'd see something and be like "I'll give this to Stanley when I see him again." Or "This would look good on his desk. I'll get this for him." XD
Gift giving is not one of Jerk Fords love languages. And while he does have an extradimensional bag that holds a lot of stuff, his most important items he keeps on his person because you never know when you have to leave your bag behind because you have to escape your camp before a giant monster crushes you. So he never got into the habit of collecting items he didn't need or couldn't use.
He'd rather just tell him stories (especially the more gossipy type stuff because Stan LOVES other peoples drama). Jerk Ford did continue journaling during his thirty year exile, and of his non-research notes he'd often write down or draw things that he saw/found in the multiverse that he thought the people back home (Stanley, Fiddleford, Sherman, his parents while they were still alive) would find interesting.
If Jerk Ford wasn't feeling particularly in the mood to talk about things, he'd just show Stan one of the journals or sketchbooks he filled out in the thirty years he was gone. He does have a sketchbook exclusively made up of illustrations he did of people who have tried to kill him over the years. That's something he'd rather not show Stanley... or at least lie and say those were random people he drew because he was bored.
