FRIENDLY REMINDER

Seeing as how The Hidden Oracle comes out next week, please remember that these books’ target audience is MIDDLE SCHOOLERS. Now I don’t know about you but I was the kind of preteen that was easily convinced that something wasn’t good, or i wasn’t right to enjoy it if other people didn’t enjoy it, as well. 

In other words, the books I read when I was in middle school, I can barely stand to read now a days, the writing format bothers me. The weird loopholes also give me headaches. BUT THESE ARE SIMPLE BOOKS MEANT FOR KIDS WHO ARE JUST NOW STARTING TO PICK UP ON READING. Rick Riordan is a great beginning author, who shows you books can be fun. 

Don’t go out here spreading hate on a book that isn’t as complex as all your headcanons are. Rick Riordan is writing a book that is for kids from ages 10-14. Take a chill pill. You’re the one who decided to read a series written by a children’s author.

if youre going to complain about posts on tumblr being condescending perhaps consider: 1) you perceive everything to be condescending whenever someone is telling you that youre wrong 2) it was written to be accessible to people who dont have postgrad degrees on the topic 3) the person is just trying to spread positivity or help people in the only way they know how

I love how people are always talking about how Benedict Cumberbatch and other unconventional-looking people are totally not attractive as if suddenly they have passed a verdict and everyone who finds him attractive is going to change their minds.

If you don't like the Katniss Everdeen Barbie Doll, don't buy it.

Buy things you do support, don't buy things you don't support. This isn't your series; the marketing team can do whatever they please. It's really not your business. The only thing you can control is if you buy it or not, but it's really not your place to say what is "right or wrong" for the franchise.

This is about not using horrific tragedies for your own political gains.

Because horrible things happened, people died, and you're using that for your personal political viewpoint.
