Hue was not one to return to places he had already passed through unless said place had something to do with Team Plasma; even if the name of those black-clad hoodlums was a in a sentence, he would be bolting right off the place they were last seen. But this time, Team Plasma was, thankfully, not the reason he was taking a brief detour back to his home, Aspertia City. There was something else he needed to do there -- or rather, there was someone he needed to talk to.
For ever since the big fiasco in Driftveil City, Hue was indebted to the Normal-type Gym Leader for helping both him and his childhood friend defeat the Plasma grunts. Honestly, if it wasn't for him, well...Hue figured he and his friend might as well have been cindered toast. Thus, as he clambered up the stone steps of the Trainer School and pushed the doorway open, the boy's spiky head moved to and fro in search of the black-haired Leader. But all he saw were...little kids. And even when he'd politely knelt down on one knee to ask them where Cheren was, they would only stick out their tongues and refuse to say.
After multiple pleas and polite offers, Hue's short fuse had finally reached its limit. With furrowed brows, Hue laid a hand on one of the little kids' head. "Now listen here you little--" Suddenly, he heard a pair of familiar footsteps make their way into the classroom. When he turned around, Hue's eyes widened in half-horror.
"Oh, Cheren!" And it was then that he realized it looked like he was practically terrorizing a kid out of the blue. Figured. He quickly shoved his hand back into his jacket's pocket and stood upright, tossing a soft laugh out into the air.
"E-Er, no, it's not what it looks like really! Y'see, I was just, uh...looking for you, actually." He clicked his tongue, his eyes self-consciously wandering down to the ground in guilt. "...But I guess I just had bad timing to, uh, go and do that -- sorry." Way to greet an ally, Hue. Way. To. Go.
