Indulge in the rich flavors of aged goat cheese and ripe tomatoes with this delightful tart. The buttery puff pastry provides a perfect base for the tangy cheese and sweet tomatoes, while a hint of basil adds aromatic freshness.
Ingredients: 1 sheet puff pastry. 1 cup aged goat cheese, crumbled. 2-3 ripe tomatoes, sliced. 1 tablespoon olive oil. 1 teaspoon dried basil. Salt and pepper to taste. Fresh basil leaves for garnish optional.
Instructions: Turn on your oven and heat it up to 375F 190C. Put the puff pastry sheet on a baking sheet that has been lined with parchment paper and roll it out. Cover the puff pastry with the crumbled aged goat cheese. Lay the tomato slices out in a single layer on top of the cheese. Add salt, pepper, and olive oil to the tomatoes. Then sprinkle with dried basil. Put the pan in an oven that has already been heated up and bake for 25 to 30 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the tomatoes are slightly caramelized. Take it out of the oven and let it cool down a bit before cutting it. If you want, you can add fresh basil leaves as a garnish. Enjoy while still warm!
