While checking out Season of Mist's website, I stumbled upon this band - ALTARAGE. They're from Basque Country, in Spain. I did a little digging and they're a death metal band that deals with surrealist horror as their themes. I couldn't find anything on who they actually are. I listened to a little of their debut album Nihl, and it was interesting. They have their sophomore album coming out in October.

Hey guys, ALTARAGE’s debut album NIHL is available for free on Bandcamp right now. Blackened death metal with surrealist horror and nihlist themes for their lyrics. They border on noise and the production is kinda low but the sound is pretty great. I highly recommend them if you’re looking for extreme metal to get into, but they are NOT for everyone.
