Bass
Basses have the lowest voice type of all. Much like a contralto, the voice type is very rare. Not every man with a low voice is a bass. Often low baritones sing the part of basses in choirs. True basses are hard to find, and will have deep, masculine and rich voices. You are not going to find a very bright or youthful sounding bass. Despite their renowned low notes, basses can still have beautiful and well developed mixed voices and falsettos/head voices. Basses are more than just access to low notes. For example, Pentatonix's Avi Kaplan has incredible low notes, but also controlled and graceful mixed notes. His belts are not what you may typically associate with a bass. The fach includes:
