yeah, Josh came from a really religious household, he wasn’t allowed to listen to music, he used to sneak to the music store and hide albums like Green Day’s “Dookie” under his bed from his parents. 

so yeah when I read this article about him getting Michael that I was like ?????? but hey people grow up and we all have that one weirdass friend that brings the gross and perverted out of us lol

yes!!!! i read all the books multiple times when i was a little kid, and watched the cartoon and at least one of the screen adaptions. I loved it a lot, though i was a tad indignant about anne’s self hatred of her hair bc i am a natural redhead as well and i have always loved it lol

Hi again! Thanks for answering! Unfortunately, I haven't read the Brick but I have read an abridged version and thats where I learned about the pun for l'ABC but because I don't know French I didn't understand the second part of your joke.

However, now that I know it (and find the hilarity in it because it’s actually really funny) I will be passing it around with my friends who’ve also read the book. Thanks again lol :)

I’m glad you like it! I’m not really sure if it’s really funny when you think of what it implies, but well, Les Mis is fun and sad at the same time, so why shouldn’t puns be like that too? XD

First ofall, welcome to the fandom! :) I haven’t been here for a long time, just a fewmonths, but you’ll get used to it soon.

I don’tknow if you’ve read the brick, but you probably know “Les amis del'ABC” comes from a French pun: if you read “ABC” letter byletter in French, it gives the word “abaissé”, which means the debasedor the lowered. So “Les Amis de l’ABC” are the friends of the debased, which are thepeople.

In the sameway, if you read “DCD” letter by letter in French, it gives “décédés”,which means “the dead”. And since Marius’ friends (SPOILER ALERT) endup dead, Marius is the friend of the dead.

Why is kill your darlings your favorite movie?

It is my favourite movie because it was one of the movies where I just fell in love with the ideas and words being created. Everything was so beautiful in its own tragic way and through the movie I finally found a generation of writers who thought like me and it inspired me to no ends

What if in order to avoid doctors automatically going into privatized health care (with a two tier system), they need to offer 2 years (just an estimate) of compulsory/mandatory public health service (1)

(2) after they get out of medical school/get a licence and before they can privatize their practice? Would that be a possible solution?

I don’t know if you could blatantly just use a figure like 2 years. You would need to study the issue.

I still find the idea of a two-tier system to be a bad move no matter how you try to spin it. All the problems with our healthcare system are fixable if governments gave a damn. Privatizing in any way is bad for the healthcare system.
