Spider-Man's a bastshen if you think about it. Jewish, fights without armor or weapons, and you could view the spider as a bondmate in a way.

The Bastshen

A Bastshen is an otherwise ordinary person who must rise to protect their community in a time of persecution. These people are not trained by fancy instructors or orders- they learn on their feet and hone what they pick up until they can become the ultimate defenders of their community. They bind themselves to an entity that guides them, helps them direct themselves towards the weakest point of their enemy.
