Okay but like Katniss just takes a stroll and attracts some male gaze that proceeds to talk to her, only to have a small bat like swoop in and just smack on their face, scaring them away while katniss just looks on unimpressed before bat!peeta settles on her shoulder.
*collapses in a fit of laughter* oh my heavens the image of just a bat flying out of nowhere and thwacking this guy right in the face? incredible . . . as is the image of said indignant little bat settling on his lady’s shoulder, an odd sight in 1700s London but everyone’s gonna roll with it
Imagine a bat!Peeta hanging from a bed-frame and Katniss bringing him down to cuddle and give scritches and a very indignant Peeta: damn woman! I've a reputation to keep
ahhhhh! yes, yes, yes! the scritches! and he pretends he’s indignant but he’s delighted . . . his little bat ears twitch up a storm and haha “I’ve a reputation to keep, woman!” in a British accent! he loves her so much . . .
bat!peeta's weakness is belly rubs but only katniss can get away with it
I think it’s safe to say Peeta’s weakness in any universe (possibly even canon) is scritches from Katniss; but yes particularly this one
bat!peeta is probably excellent pest control. flies and mosquitos? not in this house
