This quote is spoken during Vanessa Ives' session with Dr. Seward as she discusses her plight with Dracula and comments on the necessity of Dr. Seward having fatally defended herself against her own abusive husband. This faux shadow box is reminiscent of a specimen box, with pinned bat's wings inside. It is a heavy nod to Dr. Sweet, who is simultaneously Dracula and the creature-loving zoologist. Handcrafted from sterling silver, this meticulously detailed design features silver bat wings set inside a shadow box, and surrounded by lush, black patina.
