Ribbon & Neo lamp shades by Bold Design & Matthias Lauche
The Ribbon and the Neo lampshades are the first two shades of a five-part series, that is produced and developed by the British Plumen light bulb producer and Batch Works. Batch Works is 3D-printing the shades out of recycled plastics. The pendant lamps are designed to fit perfectly onto the latest light bulbs by Plumen. The French design studio Bold designed the Ribbon lamp. It's designed vertical lines, combined with the horizontal lines of 3D-printing create a texture like appearance. The gap allows a peek at the special light bulb inside. The Neo shade is a design of the German designer Matthias Lauche. The lamp is a combination of two shades stacked on top of each other to perfectly wrap onto another nicely designed light bulb by Plumen.
