My gut is telling me it’ll come to a point where Marinelle will be forced to choose between her Daddy Batchi and Papa Lester. The poor kid will be SO torn and conflicted and hurt.

What more if she ends up choosing her papa coz she remembers all the teasing thrown at her in school by homophobic assholes when she’s seen with her Daddy.

And then we see Batchi’s heart just fuckin shattered. And we see Chynna Ortaleza’s crying face again.

And the patriarchy wins and we lose yet again. All in the name of Suzi's “realistic” writing.

Which makes it ten times sadder coz it happens…?!?!?!??!!?!?

Suzette managed to write such a complex (okay a bit shallow sometimes) story plot for JaThea. I dont think shed go down the abby-lester-happy-together-again path. She thinks amnesia stories are tacky, im pretty set that she wont do that to batchi

Yes, I see your point. I’m gonna trust Suzette on that and hope for happiness with the Luna family. Batchi deserves all the good things, she’s done nothing but love Abby and Marinelle and fight against those who dare badmouth her in front of her daughter.

BUT CHYNNA ORTALEZA THO

Seeing Batchi cry was ten million times as painful. She's normally so level-headed and calm and above the stress of situations. But after that scene at Marinelle's school, her strong defenses were brought down HARD. Her insecurities seeped in and though she was being strong for Abby (SUCH CUTES THESE TWO BTW), she broke as soon as the two left. I WANTED TO HUG HER SO BAD I NEARLY HUGGED THE TV. Anyway, you know what I wanna see? A harmonious development for the Luna family. Marinelle DID say she still loves her daddy Batchi. I'm certain she meant it wholeheartedly. However she has a point that it would be good to meet her own biological father, and her parents approved. After Marinelle gets to know Lester, I hope they develop a healthy relationship. I don't want the bullshit "No Abby I'm sorry I left I'm here now I love you and I want you back". (My gut tells me it'll happen anyway UGHH). I just want him to be a healthy presence for Marinelle but not as strong as that of daddy Batchi's. LESTER PLEASE DO NOT attempt to win back Abby from Batchi. There's too much of that bullshit in the show already. Don't make me hate yet ANOTHER male character in the show.
