I’ve recently reconnected with one of my teachers from junior high, and we’ve had some amazing conversations. He mailed me two books; one is specifically about my native Cowichan tribe; the other is on the history of totem poles and the carvers. I was not the best student in school. I struggled with a extremely dysfunctional home life, but my junior high teachers were amazing and have left life long impressions on me. I feel the love 30 years later! 🥰 I also had an old friend from Bates stop by and we had the loveliest visit. He finally got to meet Imani and Adrian.
