Batboys reacting to trans!male!reader being on his period.
Jason todd, dick grayson, Tim Drake, bonus: Platonic!damian wayne
Dick grayson is not a mind reader!
He might be smart, he might be good at picking up on context clues, he might even know you like the back of his hand.
But a mind reader? No, absolutely not.
So when you're in bed all morning, all afternoon and all evening he just assumes you're having a bad day. When you're a little short with him and seemingly in pain he offers a painkiller but still, pain is a normal thing.
It takes until you ask him to run to the store for pads for him to realise you're on your period.
In his defence, you're his boyfriend and he often forgets you have a womb.
Of course, dick gets pads for you and a sweet treat too. He refuses to leave the store until he can determine that he has everything you could want.
He comes home to see you curled up in bed with a hot water bottle.
Dick puts the bag down on the nightstand on your side before getting into bed next to you.
Dick rubs your back gently, wanting to sooth any aches he knows you get.
Jason Todd is going insane.
He understands periods, he understands that you get them but he cant rack his brain around it all.
He knows he cant really help and he knows its completely normal but at the same time he just wishes he could do something for the pain at least.
He feels so weird when he steps into the bedroom to see his boyfriend, the strongest man he knows, the one man who could beat his ass, curled up in a ball.
Jason's best guess is that period pain is worse than death.
He makes sure you have painkillers but knows they don't exactly work very well, he brings you chocolate knowing it can help sometimes but his final resource is to let you lay on him. It doesnt help but it makes you happy at least.
Jason is a very strong person, his demeanor is always very standoffish but he would rather die again than make you feel like an inconvenience right now. He knows you're more sensitive while menstruating.
He knows it makes you feel like less of a man, he knows it makes you second-guess everything so he stays by your side to answer those insecurities head-on. To tell you it's okay and that you're the strongest man he knows and that the realest men have periods.
He strokes your hair and lets you use him like a pillow. Knowing there's absolutely nothing that he can really do otherwise.
Tim Drake is realistic
He knows that you're fine,
He knows that theres no reason to freak out. He's calm and if anything hes weirdly normal about it.
He sees you curled up in bed and offers realistic ways to relieve the pain with stretches and certain foods, he sees you feeling upset about ruining your favourite underwear and explains how to get the blood out.
His attitude falters when you curl up to him and ask in such a small voice if he still thinks of you as his boyfriend. Because its so....wrong to him. He sees that thought as unrealistic because why would you assume that?
He makes sure to kiss you from head to ankle, reassuring you, telling you how manly you are and how everyday you look even closer to your goal. That hes sorry you have it in you to think that way.
Despite how realistic he is, he cant help but be over the top when you're unrealistic.
Bonus:
Damian Wayne is confused
You're on the sofa in the manor with a hot water bottle half down your sweatpants so it rests against your abdomen, a blanket over one leg and a cup of tea on the floor by the side of you.
He asks if youre sick and you tell him it's just that time of the month.
He spirals.
He assumes that, after puberty, men just... get insanely ill once a month. He asks everyone about it and they blindly agree, thinking they're talking about you but Damian thinks they're talking about all men.
Hes actually really sympathetic to it, offering you a new brew once you drink yours and quietly sitting with you while you read your book and he watches tv.
It's not until Alfred asks you if you're okay and you put it in simpler terms that he realises.
Hes really sweet about it though, bringing you a heat pad that wont singe your skin off like the hot water bottle could.
_________
I wrote this all in an hour because I realised I'm on my period and I'm not happy about it. All period accounts are based on how I experience them but I'm chronically ill and it extends to my womb so...yeah. in a rare event where someone who hasnt had their period yet reads this, I promise it wont be as painful as I depicted it. I'm just very medically fucked up.
