i wish we could be more like the sky. No one looks at the clouds and says they should be slightly more to the left.. or they’re be prettier with more fluff. They say accept the clouds, or sun or rain. Whether they enjoy their company is another thing , but we never say ‘’ I don’t like how that rain drop looks’’ or , ‘’ the sun needs to have more of a round shape to it’’. No because in sad actuality, we are the only species that judges and compares each other in the overbearing ways that we do. You know i was in the public bathrooms the other day and I saw an advertisement for a cream that vanishes age spots on the hand... it read something like ‘’ Isn’t it time to rid those pesky unsightly spots?’’ And i felt bewildered.. I mean these are age spots... spots on elderly! Why would anyone care for vanishing them. They show age and grace and how that person has lived. And not to mention calling them pesky... like it’s almost inconvenient for us humans to live. You get acne, well you better rid it, we dont want anyone knowing you go through life with stress and hormonal imbalances do we?. You age.. and get grey hair... and people say oh you could dye it! and now its age spots on the hands... seriously? Who came up with this idea that showing signs of being human were no longer ‘in fashion’?
Maybe one day we will all look outside of our windows and see the clouds in the sky and the birds in the tree , and exclaim ‘ how beautiful’ , whilst carefully distinguishing how that sparrow has a wonky tail and the tree outside has completely non symmetrical borders and the clouds are not that really in any particular place and awareness implodes and we finally realise.. I am just like everything else in nature.. imperfect. But I think that’s the way I was born for. Finally i can breathe the same air as the nature outside my bathroom window because we’re not symmetrical , and we have wonky body parts and we are in no particular place. Yeah that’s the world I’d die for.
