Another one for the bathroom sessions. ---------------------------------------------------- A scream came through the door, then music and shouting. The door opened, two men came in, one was wiping off a red stain on his shirt.  . "She really didnt need to scream" said Ned wiping the stain off with a towel.  . "You can't control everything, sometimes you have to go with the flow. Some people are just passionate" said Kevin.  . "I pity and human unfortunate enough to have found true passion and love." replied Ned. . "What?" said Kevin . "Because once you taste real unadulterated passion everything else pales in comparison. In writing I have found the one thing I want to do. The double edged sword is I no longer want to do anything else. Everything else is a bore and takes time from when I am emersed in writing. The same is true of people. Once you meet a person you truly love, whether the feeling is mutual or otherwise, everything else fades."he continued. . "Wait, you of all people are justifying the soul mate myth? "  . "No nothing so banal. I'm talking about giving yourself to someone or something fully. This can happen as many times as you like, but few people have the courage to open themselves again once hurt or disappointed. That's why Im always telling you to be careful with your whoring, you never know how deep your rejection cuts."  . "I've always been honest" Kevin replied feeling attacked. . "Honest yes, true less so." Ned replied. . "Wow, shots fired. Whats going on?" . "Nothing man, just wish I was writing instead of at a 1 year old's birthday party they won't remember." "Yes/No" ~ Apr 4 2017 ~ a bathroom in Watermans Bay 🐚🐋🌊🛀🚿🚽 -- Earlier this week I released a studio track independently. I had only been in the studio once before, and it took me four years to find my way back in there. I'm fairly resilient most of the time, but for some reason I have found the capturing of vocals and an idea and the infinite options overwhelming, just as is the inevitable response from the world around you by doing so. Especially when you love what you do and you have to do something, but what you do requires more time and work than you might feel like you can give. So what do you do? You lock yourself in a bathroom somewhere, anywhere, because it's relatively safe there. And you write, or you play whatever you've written. The sound fills up the space and everything else disappears. So I think I might just record in bathrooms from now on, for the time being, if that's ok. It's affordable, doesn't require too much administrative efforts, and feels good. I might change my mind, but right now I think bathrooms are the best idea. 🛀 #bathroomsessions #bathroomrecording
