#9 Batkhand

I have to say that I think this shot is heavily underrated. She still deserved to get the chop this week based on past performance, don’t get me wrong, but it’s actually a pretty good shot of Batkhand. The only problem I have with it is her face, and I still think that it’s the best she’s photographed in this competition. The eyes are definitely a bit wonky though, and together with the open mouth, it just reads as confused/bored/tired. This shot would’ve definitely been bumped a couple spots higher if her face was on point. She looks SO good without eyebrows though! There’s no denying she has a stunning high fashion face, she just doesn’t know how to use it. The main thing I love about this shot is how tall she looks! The clothes look amazing on her, and she’s doing a great job at showcasing them. It’s a very editorial image actually; very simple and effortless. I love the way her hands are in her pockets here as well, as it showcases the function of the clothes without making it look obvious. I would say she did a pretty good job, just not enough to recover from her bad past 2 weeks.

#11 Batkhand

This seems to be everyone’s least favorite shot by FAR, and while I think it’s pretty terrible, I don’t hate it to that extent. At least she’s trying, unlike the two Inner-Mongolian girls I ranked last. I think the pose is great! There’s some angles going on in the arms and hips and I love how tall she looks here. It almost looks like she’s dancing, but posey. I also like how the outfit looks on her body/pose. Where she completely loses me, which seems to be a recurring theme this week, is the face. It’s very pornstar-y to me, which is probably due to the overlined lips/sexy-happy expression. I also hate this angle on her, it makes her cheeks look really chubby and that doesn’t really go well with her smile for some reason. I’ve just been really dissapointed with Batkhand these last 2 weeks, she’s slipping fast and I don’t think she’s going to last much longer.

I actually burst out laughing when this shot was shown in panel, because Batkhand honestly just looks like a bobblehead and is truly just an accessory to Goyokhon. However, I kind of started liking this shot more and more these last weeks that it has been off the air. I think the fact that it’s a closeup really benefits both of the girls, and it honestly looks really great as a whole. Individually, she looks terrible. The pose is just limp, and by pose I mean the only part that we can see; the arm. The face angle is also just completely wrong: her jaw has dissapeared, her eyes look like they’re about to pop out of her head and her forehead/whole head looks huge. One thing that specifically bothers me is the babyfat around her cheek/mouth that is only highlighted by the terrible lighting. The only thing that saves it is the appeal of the shot as a whole.

#6 Batkhand

Having only seen this girl in motion up to this first photoshoot, I really wasn’t expecting much. She was one of my least favorites look wise actually! However, then she turned out to be HIDEOUSLY PHOTOGENIC. I don’t know how she does it, but everytime I see her in shots I just fall in love. Look at her features! Her eyes are so big and are just full of emotion and expression, and I love the slight part of her lips! I also love this angle on her, her cheekbones just truly pop out! The reason she’s at number 6 instead of 1, is because of the tension in her neck. Though the angle is gorgeous, when laying down it actually takes a lot of muscles to move like that - and it shows in her neck. It just looks a little thick.
