A random headcanon. (How about one about Batlucard) 

Alucard will sometimes turn into a bat and hang off of things so he can stretch his wings and fly. When he’s in this form he becomes more animal like and is likely to act similar to how real bats behave. This means he wants to hide in dark places and hang upside down. Its lead to several Belmonts having a heart attack at finding a small black bat hanging upside down in their fireplace, closet, cabinet, or curitans. Alucard when asked will claim he needed to shift to keep his wings from being cramped. However, the Belmonts claim he does this to mess with them.

A small black creature hangs upside down from a nearby tree. It hears footsteps approach, as it’s wings unfold to take a look at its surrounds. The footsteps get closer and soon the bat is staring into a pair of eyes.
